By the end of '76, a few CBGBs acts were releasing albums, along with a scattered handful of punk and proto-punk bands, so you can really see the new era beginning here. But as someone who really loves '70s hard rock and metal, before metal really got codified into something almost separate from the rest of rock music, 1976 is really right in my sweet spot, I really love the heavy music from this era and this year in particular, epitomized by Thin Lizzy but also Zep, BOC, early Priest, etc. I had not really heard Dwight Twilley's music before he passed away last month, but Sincerely is an awesome record, glad I checked it out.
