I've got a feature on Bossman in the Baltimore City Paper this week, and it's kind of a big deal because it's my first cover story. It's cool to come full circle and do this after writing about Bossman on Gov't Names for the past 3 years and then writing for CP for the past 2 years, although it wasn't the best idea for me to embark on this undertaking right after I started a new job and didn't have as much time as I used to to obsess over my articles. But the EIC really helped me hammer this out and make it better than it would've been, and I think it can really stand up as maybe the definitive Bossman profile, at least at this strange point in his career where it's still not really clear what's gonna happen with his label. Anyway, check it out, I hope you enjoy it.

Congrats on the cover!

Big, big congrats on the cover! I read the article today, and it's a great read.

i dug it, a good story - made me want to start exploring bmore hip-hop, finally.

awesome job Al, really good article!

Can i keep it real?

sounded like an E-Hollyhood story to me. If you didn't think his career was over or going no where before reading the article....you prolly feel it after reading it.

I felt really sorry for him after reading it. I respect his fourthcomingness, but he really messed up my wet dream.

Did he really say he was going to follow Jermaine if all else fails (i am paraphrasing) or did you paraphrase?

either way....that was not the thing that someone who is concerned about image would say.

Rap is SO F*CKING WACK!!!!

I honestly feel like after reading that story that he doesn't have anyone in his camp to inform him of what he should or not be saying in print at this stage in his career.

Al, you did too damn good of a job! I loved it for exposing the real!!!! Unfortunately the cautionary tale prolly went ova everyone's head!!!

And the pics.....don't get me started.
