One thing about doing these posts in reverse chronological order is that I feel like I'm slowly backing up into history and experiencing the changing eras of pop music in reverse. And part of the fun of that is that I come up to the end of the prime hitmaking periods of certain artists, and kind of know I'm about to get into ranking the big hits of Stevie Wonder or Elton John or Marvin Gaye, which I'm really looking forward to.
